I've seen the concept of RSS on facebook and it is nice to have all the information on one page. This is different though because now I get to choose what I want to show up on my page. I like that you can personalize it so that it will save time and not be all jumbled up wth things I don't want/need.
I'm watching to see who has new posts and Things I haven't tried.

Thing 2: What is Library 2.0
I didn't know anything about the Library 2.o revolution until our media specialist brought it up at a tech. committee meeting, which I find really sad. However, as I read the articles and watched the short clip, I realized that I knew it was happening I just hadn't thought about it. I am fortunate enough to be a part of the generation that is very much involved with using computers and the internet for communicating, socializing, and sharing information. It has become an essential part of my life because I keep in contact with friends, set up social engagements, find information, and keep track of where and when I need to be places. I don't think about 'finding time' because it has become a part of my day to go online, check my facebook, google MANY things during the day, and now participate in 23 things on a stick. I know I don't know nearly enough about all the resources and different tools that are available, so I'm hoping this program will open my eyes to more things I can use in my classroom as well as in my personal life. Technology is the way of the future...here I come! :0)

Creating my blog
It was surprisingly easy to set up my blog. I've heard of them before, but had never done one myself. The hardest part was deciding what to name it. ;)
